The church of Agios Georgios is located in the area of Agios Georgios, near the Akaki Gymnasium and it was built on a plot that had been donated by the children of Costas Theouli Appiou.  The first efforts for the construction of a church were made by the Metropolitan Bishop of Morfou and the residents and expatriates of Akaki also contributed to its completion.
